Just in case there was any doubt, Google still rules the world. How do I know this? By the short video they released today, encompassing absolutely everything of note that happened in the past year.

Okay, maybe not EVERYTHING, but it’s pretty damn close.

From royal babies, to legalized marijuana and gay marriage; from Nelson Mandela to Paul Wawlker; from overly emotional babies and out-and-proud athletes; all the way to Breaking Bad and Batkid. It gives us a glimpse of a sampling of 2013’s best, and worst, moments.

In the words of Old Blue Eyes, [for the most part] “It was a very good year.” When I think of all the strides we made this year, I get all warm and fuzzy. There is still A LOT of work to be done, but progress was made; and that’s never a bad thing.
