Jim Carrey was the host of this past Saturday’s much-loved Saturday Night Live and he helped give us a bit of clarity of what is really going through a driver’s head in car commercials.

If you own a TV in the US, you’ve more than likely come across the puzzling and frankly, weird, car commercial that Matthew McConaughey did for Lincoln. If you haven’t, feast your eyes upon the odd advertisement here:

Going back… to go forward? Wut?

Oh, and then there’s this gem of confusion:

1800 pounds of ‘what the hell is going on here?!’

Jim Carrey took on these commercials with all the hilarity you expect from the comedian. Talking in the raspy voice that McConaughey dons in his own commercial, I think Carrey hit the nail on the head with this one. There were 3 different sketches and luckily we have them edited into one video to laugh at.

Also, do all Uber drivers sound like Matthew McConaughey? Because if so, they need to get that service to my area ASAP!
