Katherine Heigl rose to fame thanks to her starring roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Knocked Up. However, the actress has gone and bashed both of her works in the past. It’s even true that Grey’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, has made public that she doesn’t have time to bother with “assholes”, hinting at Heigl.
There is no denying she is a great actress and her talent should be respected throughout the industry. Who didn’t fall in love with her in the role of Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy? Katherine Heigl has been called rude multiple times, though, and a vile person in the workplace. The actress took the time to respond to rumors of her being rude during a recent Q&A. In her own words:
“Yeah I’ve heard those too….honestly I don’t think I am…nothing makes me more uncomfortable than confrontation or hurting someones feelings and I would never, ever, actively do so on purpose. Of course just like any human being I’ve made mistakes and unwittingly or carelessly spoken or acted but I always try to make any wrong right.
Despite admitting to having made wrong choices in the past, the 27 Dresses star doesn’t stay there. She goes on to discuss that she demands to be treated nicely, hinting at not-quite-ideal situations on previous sets she’s worked on.
“That doesn’t mean I won’t stand up for myself by drawing boundaries and asking to be treated kindly and respectfully but I don’t do that with any rude or unkind intentions just with the same strength and honestly I think every one of us is entitled to.”
