Kevin McHale is the latest Glee star to pay homage to his fallen comrade and costar, Cory Monteith.
McHale took to Instagram and shared a photo with his fans of himself and Cory during the “Spanish Teacher” episode from Glee’s third season.
McHale plays wheelchair-bound Artie Abrams on the hit show, and has had many a tender moment with Cory’s character, Finn Hudson.
McHale’s Instagram photo comes in the wake of statements from showrunner Ryan Murphey; and stars Dianna Agron, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, Mike O’Malley, Jane Lynch, Chord Overstreet, and on and off-screen love, Lea Michele.
The photo was joined by the following caption: “So thankful that I and so many of you got to experience Cory’s overwhelming kindness, humor and talent. There will not be a day that goes by that I won’t miss him. Thank you all for your incredible support and patience.”
McHale’s Artie has been a fan-favorite from the onset. We at PopWrapped hope that he, and the rest of cast and crew, can find a way to persevere in the wake of this tragedy. Cory’s legacy is Glee, and we can’t think of a better way to honor that legacy than to continue the rag-tag band of singers’ journey to Nationals.
