Oscar-winning director Alex Gibney is back with a new documentary titledThe Armstrong Lie.
The documentary will tell the story of the infamous Lance Armstrong doping scandal. It will also provide insight from Armstrong’s teammates, doctors and other experts involved with the case.
If you missed out, in January of 2013 after denying claims, Lance Armstrong gave a partial confession in an interview with Oprah that aired on her television station OWN.

As reported byDeadline.com, the documentary itself will focus on his brief return to win the Tour de France and the scandal that surrounded his battle to win. Frank Marshall and Matt Tolmach (writers ofThe Armstrong Liealong with Alex Gibney) stated, “We set out to make a movie about a comeback. Along the way, we ended up chronicling the collapse of one of the greatest myths and legends of our time.”
