Jennifer Lopez broke the news on Twitter that her real-life BFF, Leah Remini, has joined the cast of her new rom-com film, Second Act.

In the new movie, Lopez, currently on TV screens with NBC’s Shades of Blue and World of Dance, will be starring (and producing!) as a big chain store employee who decides to make the leap and reinvent her life. She told The Wrap in June that the story really resonated with her: “Second Act is a story that empowers the everywoman to do more, to be more, and not limit their dreams.”

Jennifer Lopez and Leah Remini have been close friends for years and frequently pop up in each other’s social media accounts. After Remini left the Church of Scientology, Lopez stuck by her side. She “didn’t waver in our friendship,” Remini told People in 2015, adding that she was “so grateful to her.”
