While preparing to release her fifth studio album 'I Am' in early September, Leona Lewis has now dropped the music video for her new single, "Thunder".

Leona Lewis has been preparing to release her brand-new studio album, I Am, for a while now and she’s moving on with the promotional era for it. Today, the songstress has premiered the accompanying music video for her latest Stateside single, titled “Thunder”.

The Sarah McColgan-directed visuals for the Toby Gad-co-crafted tune find Leona Lewis singing along to the self-empowering “Thunder”, as projections of the sky appear on the walls all over her. She looks stunning in a shorter and lighter hairdo, with the clothing complimenting her as well. There’s clearly a message to send out with this one, and it clearly is that despite cloudy days, there won’t always be rain on your parade and you will eventually rise again. The clip is pure and simplistic, as well as rather eventless at the same time. However, it does go well with the song and places the former X Factor winner in a more mature direction.

“Thunder” will serve as the lead single to be lifted from the songstress’ upcoming, fifth studio album, I Am. “Fire Under My Feet” was on lead single duties over at the United Kingdom, with title track “I Am” being a follow-up. Leona Lewis is expected to drop the record on September 11. For the time being, take a look at the music video for “Thunder” below.
