TV Line reports that NBC will revisit its popular show “Heroes” with a new 13 episode mini-series called “Heroes Reborn,” which will air in 2015. Right now all details are hush-hush, with only a brief, mysterious trailer released during the network’s Olympics coverage Saturday night.
Original “Heroes” creator Tim Kring will be back on board for the show, but NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke was wisely cagey about committing to a return of any original cast, only saying that they “won’t rule out the possibility.” The show will also be capitalizing on the popularity of internet exclusive tie-ins to network properties by introducing the characters and plot to the public via a brief web series.
The original award-winning “Heroes” ran on NBC from 2006-2010.
