At first glance, there are an abundance of rave reviews for Tom Hardy’s new film Legend. But take a closer look, and you will see that not all the ratings are as favorable as they appear…

Yes, nestled between both pictures of Tom is actually a 2-star review from British newspaper The Guardian. In the original review, the film was described by Benjamin Lee as:

[A] disappointingly shallow take on a fascinating period of time and leaves us sorely uninformed, as if we’ve skim-read a pamphlet.

While the position of the rating is sneaky and, some may say, deceptive, we can’t help but admire the ingenuity and inventiveness of whoever was responsible. The poster does not lie to the viewer but cleverly manages to disguise the negative review.

Legend tells the story of the Kray twins who rose to infamy during the 1960s in the UK through their various links to organised crime. Tom Hardy plays both Ronnie and Reggie Kray.
