Pretty Little Liars took a turn down a dark and serious lane this season; which doesn’t really stray away from the already dark storyline the series is built on.

However, for the Fields family it has been especially complicated as Pam came under investigation by police for child abuse allegations that stemmed from a school yard incident where Pam grabbed Shay’s arm during a dispute.

More than likely “A” is behind a majority of the drama in this situation, but either way, series star Nia Peeples (Pam) welcomes the challenge of the twisted storyline.

Peeple’s told HuffPostLive, “I was thrilled to see something come my way that really made my character walk a difficult path,” she said. “It’s much more challenging for me. I prefer that.”

After a few seasons with very little drama for her character, she said this is a good turn of events to keep the story alive.

“The first season my character had some challenging things. The second and third season I was kind of hanging around making cookies. It makes for an easy day of work, but it’s not very challenging as an actor,” she said.

The veteran TV actress, whose career includes roles on hit shows like Walker, Texas Ranger, and The Young and the Restless, definitely has the chops to sink into this role and all that comes with it.
