It looks like 2014 will be the year of the paranormal. Not one, but two, Paranormal Activity films will be released in the up coming year. Fans of the franchise can catch the first movie on January 1, 2014 (so in just a couple of days). Titled Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, it’s a spinoff of the other Paranormal Activity films and will focus on the Latino community. The other film, aptly titled Paranormal Activity: 5, shall be in theaters just in time for Halloween; it comes out on October 24, 2014
The Marked Ones focuses ‘on a Catholic inquiry into a demonic possession’. It also stars several Latino actors, including Jorge Diaz, Carlos Pratts and Gloria Sandovall. This spinoff was written by Christopher B Landon, who wrote the scripts ‘for the last three Paranormal Activity films’.
In preparation for the January 1 release a new clip for The Marked Ones has been released. It focuses on one of the young actors in the bathroom. He feels something in his eye and pulls it out. Because of the angles and lighting used, viewers can’t tell what it is though. Will we find out what it was? Who knows. We will just have to wait and see.
