The gorgeous Miss Abdul has arrived…in Livingston NJ that is!

Abdul traveled to New Jersey to speak at an event entitled “Dance, Pray, Live” hosted by Mikvah Chana.  The event was held to raise money for the Mikvah, a fun little raffle, dinner, and speaking event all wrapped in to one.  The Mikvah is a ritual for women of the Jewish faith.  Women attend the Mikvah to bless themselves before marriage.

Paula spoke on her roots of Judaism growing up, but ultimately spoke about her true belief that everyone can reach their dreams.  During a pre-event meet and greet, I got to talk her!  As a longtime fan, I spoke with her about her upcoming trip to Australia, to which Paula said, “I’m so excited!”  Abdul is currently a judge on So You Think You Can Dance Australia.

During her speaking portion of the event, Paula touched briefly on her childhood, discussing her tenacious qualities that she possessed at a young age.  Abdul also discussed how she was born two months premature and how her fighting ways have helped her though the difficulties she has gone through in Hollywood. The highlight of the evening was when Abdul answered fan questions from the audience.  She touched on topics of Simon Cowell, her plans for television, and even spoke about her jewelry line she’s created with Avon.

This was a night to remember, a night full of fun, dinner, and dancing.
