After 39-year-old Pedro Pascal’s rough departure from Game of Thrones as fan favorite character Oberyn Martell, a new role has been claimed by the actor.

Pascal has been reportedly booked for the new Netflix drug/drama series Narcos. The series is based on the Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar (played by Wagner Moura) who is known as “The King Of Cocaine.” Pascal’s role is DEA agent Javier Pena who has been sent to Columbia to take down the kingpin Pablo Escobar at whatever cost.

Narcos is currently scheduled for a 2015 release via Netflix and the first season is to be composed of 10 episodes. After seeing examples of his incredible talent in GOT there should be many who are excited to follow his work onto a new drama series. Will you be watching Narcos?
