Urban folk duo Poppy’s Field have debuted a brand new music video for “Meant To Be.”
Comprised of a number of shots from frontman Santino Payne and co-instrumentalist Sam Dennis’ live performance at Westfield in September, the video is simple, yet effective; cleverly detailing Dennis’ addition to the band since “Music On A Roundabout” with style. “Meant To Be” itself is an ethereal affair, featuring an airy ensemble of electronic synth. Payne exhibits possibly his best, affecting vocal work to date, with his signature rap skills also being shown off over the song’s bridge.
Payne has gone on to say that “Meant To Be” is his favorite song on his debut EP, Doll Face, by far. Do you agree with him?
