Controversial documentary filmmaker, Michael Moore, recently took aim at the President of the United States, Barack Obama. Moore has always been judgemental, on both social and political grounds, so it comes as no surpise that he’s gone and called Obama a “disappointment”.
Reportedly, the Fahrenheit 9/11 maker was present during a discussion that took place at the Toronto International Film Festival and it was suggested by The Hollywood Reporter that he made the accusations at that time. In his own words:
“When the history is written of this era, this is how you’ll be remembered: He was the first black president. OK, not a bad accomplishment, but that’s it. That’s it, Mr. Obama. One hundred years from now: ‘He was the first black American that got elected president.’ And that’s it. Eight years of your life and that’s what people are going to remember. Boy, I got a feeling, knowing you, that – you’d probably wish you were remembered for a few other things, a few other things you could’ve done. So, it is, on that level, a big disappointment.”
However, Moore is not the only one left disappointed by Obama. More or less, similar comments have been made in the past by others, including Matt Damon, Chris Christie and Mitt Romney.
