Rihanna is supposedly set to play Josephine Baker in the upcoming biographical film about her life.
Baker was born in the U.S. in 1905 and became a French citizen in 1937. She was a successful actress, dancer, and singer, and became the first African American woman to star in a major motion picture. She was also very active in the Civil Rights Movement.
Production company Noosa Films says Rihanna is fit to play the role due to her immense acting and performing talents.
Rihanna made her acting debut in the film ‘Battleship’ and is set to appear in the comedy ‘This is the End’ later this year.
