Robbie Williams has a brand new album coming out – and in addition to six fresh tracks, it’s going to feature some older ones. For starters, Williams will officially be covering the classic tune “Dream a Little Dream” as a duet with the lovely Lily Allen. This song has been immortalized previously by artists like Ella Fitzgerald and Doris Day, just to name a couple.

The “F*** You” songstress has had a soft spot for this particular standard – in fact, it’s one of her all-time favorites. Of being offered the opportunity to record it, Allen said this: “I didn’t hesitate when Robbie asked me if I’d like to duet with him on it. I was a bit nervous when we recorded it, especially when I asked him what he wanted me to do and he said something like ‘just be you’. But I’m really happy with it and think we do justice to a classic song.”

Allen is not the only guest Williams will have on his upcoming “Swings Both Ways” album, which is chock-full of classic jazz standards. We’ll get to hear the Brit sing alongside other big names, including Kelly Clarkson, Michael Buble, and Rufus Wainwright.

This album, according to Williams, is a direct descendant of his previous swing-themed album “Swing When You’re Winning.” Williams is a big fan of that particular genre of song, and he “always knew [he’d] to another [swing album].” This upcoming album, Williams says, is “a definite ode and a loving glance towards a period on the planet that [he] was never invited to.”

Lucky for him, Robbie Williams was actually able to live out his big band dreams back in 2004. He got to perform Cole Porter’s classic tune “De-Lovely” in the biopic of the same name, which starred Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd. Take a look below at a behind-the-scenes video of his experience filming the scene:
