Rooster Teeth announced yesterday (Feb. 2) that one of their animators, Monty Oum, passed away at only 33 years old. May he rest in peace.

Rooster Teeth announced yesterday (Feb. 2) that one of their animators, Monty Oum, passed away at only 33 years old. May he rest in peace.

Monty Oum, an animator for Rooster Teeth, has passed away at 33. He was hospitalized over the weekend for a severe allergic reaction during a medical procedure, which resulted in a coma.

Oum was the creator, writer and producer of the anime series RWBY, which resulted in two seasons. RWBY is an American animated web series, its title an acronym for the four characters: Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang. If you are interested in seeing RWBY, Rooster Teeth just announced it is on Netflix now. We take today (Feb. 3) to remember a great man, who touched so many people. RIP Monty Oum.
