S.H.I.E.L.D. Appeals To London Witnesses To Suspected Extraordinary Activity

A strange sign popped up on a London street yesterday (September 27) calling on witnesses to “Suspected Extraordinary Activity”. Was this an appeal to a traffic accident? A mugging? Some other heinous crime? No, it was all part of the publicity campaign announcing Joss Whedon’s new TV series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ahead of its UK premiere last night.

The sign appeals to anyone who has information about an incident that allegedly took place on Tuesday 24^th September. It states that on that day, “a hooded male jumped from a 5^th story building and survived after carrying out a dramatic rescue.” They request that anyone who saw or heard anything to “call the Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.) [on] 020 7346 6828 or go to www.level7shield.com”.

So what happens upon calling the number? Well according to Digital Spy, you received a recorded message that states: “All our operators are currently busy [working on] the cases that S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn’t yet classified – the strange and unknown.”
