Recently, Irish actress Saoirse Ronan has had rumoured links to both the upcoming Avengers sequel Age of Ultron, and the widely anticipated Star Wars Episode 7.

Unfortunately, none of these currently mean anything more than rumours. Ronan has denied outright any link to the Avengers sequel. The Star Wars rumours are a little more promising. She confirmed that she has been linked to the Disney film.

She also said in an interview for Digital Spy that “Everyone on the planet” has auditioned.

Even though no official casting list has been confirmed yet, it is thought that original trilogy stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill may reprise their roles in the film. It has been speculated that Ronan’s audition was for Jaina, the daughter of Leia (Fisher) and Han Solo (Ford).

Ronan is also playing the role of Rat in Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut, How To Catch A Monster.

Ronan’s current film How I Live Now will be released in UK cinemas on October 4th. How To Catch A Monster will be released in 2014. Star Wars Episode 7 is set to be released in 2015.
