Singer Foxes has let slip about her upcoming appearance on Doctor Who, confirming that she won’t be playing a villain.

It was announced last week that she will be making her acting debut in the iconic BBC series, and she told BBC Newsbeat “I‘m not the villain!” She also said that Peter Capaldi was “really exciting and very confident.”

Foxes will perform a song in the episode and has mentioned that it may be released as a track after the episode airs– exciting!

Head writer Steven Moffat said he was “thrilled” about the singer joining the series but, in typical fashion, is keeping all spoilers under wraps. All he had to say was “”Let’s just say, the Doctor is finally catching up on his phone calls.”  But what does it all mean? You’ll have to wait until August when it airs on BBC One to find out!
