Transformers quickly went from being a fantastic summer blockbuster to becoming a franchise about endless and repetitive robot fights, in which inevitably the good guys end up winning.  However, Transformers: Dark of the Moon,  proved to be a popular pick for the summer of 2011, making big bucks at the box office and quickly sparking talks of a sequel.  Director Michael Bay, whose recent film Pain and Gain is getting rave reviews, accepted the challenge and so a Transformers 4 is currently in the works.

Per Indiewire, Bay confirmed at CinemaCon that Stanley Tucci will be joining the cast already comprised of Mark Wahlberg, newcomers Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz (Bates MotelThe Last Airbender).  Notably missing from the cast list is Shia LeBeouf, who opted to drop out of any subsequent films.  And while he hasn’t been officially confirmed, there is also talks of Josh Duhamel reprising his role as Captain William Lennox.

The fourth installment of the alien robot saga is being kept top secret, with currently no details about the plot available.  But there is plenty of time to find out, as the film is slated for a June 27, 2014 release.
