While most movie houses are putting out the trailers for their 2014 releases, there has been one notable exception, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

While I can’t say that I’m pleased to announce the trailer’s release, I can say that Dimension Films have given us something… a teaser poster for A Dame to Kill For has been unveiled. While its minimalist nature certainly doesn’t give anything away, it certainly whets our appetites for the film’s August 2014 release.

The sequel to 2005’s Sin City will interweave four stories, with writer Frank Miller taking the bulk of the story from his A Dame to Kill graphic novel, as well as incorporating one of the smaller sub-plots “Just Another Saturday Night” from his fifth book in the comic series Boozer, Broads & Bullets, in addition to writing two new stories.

The film stars returning cast members Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Powers Boothe, Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen and Bruce Willis as well as newcomers Josh Brolin, Christopher Meloni, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ray Liotta, Jeremy Piven, Eva Green, Jamie Chung, Dennis Haysbert, Marton Csokas, Juno Temple, Julie Garner, Stacy Keach, Crystal McCahill and Lady Gaga, yes Lady Gaga.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is scheduled to open in cinemas August 22, 2014.
