A new still from the Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer shows the stars and stripes hero teaming up with Black Widow, the notorious double agent of the Marvel Universe. Chris Evans is returning as Captain America in the film, with Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Black Widow, from the box office smash The Avengers and Iron Man 2.
The duo first appeared together in the high-school crime-comedy The Perfect Score; and have had great onscreen chemistry since. The image taken from the trailer, shows the two heroes moments before Evans jumps from a plane to intercept an enemy cargo ship. The image also shows off Caps darker, stealth-like threads, a dramatic change from the patriotic red, white, and blue of the first movie and TheAvengers. Another image from the trailer shows The First Avenger going head-to-head with a S.H.I.E.L.D aircraft. The trailer suggests that the mysterious intelligence agency is on Caps radar as “Do Not Trust.”
The sequel to the Marvel Studios hit also stars, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Frank Grillo and Oscar winner Robert Redford. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is directed by Community veterans Anthony and Joe Russo and is set for release April 4th 2014.
