Former wizard Tom Felton is putting down his wand in favor of a new acting role, and superhero fans across the world are rejoicing at the news…
Big news in the Flash universe today. News got out that Tom Felton (best known for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter Series) has been cast as a series regular on The Flash.
According to sources the Harry Potter Alum will be playing Julian Dorn. The character has been described as “a fellow CSI at the central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) than just his good guy reputation.”
It has been stated that the character is completely new and not based off any character from the classic comic books. As such it remains to be seen if Felton will be fighting on the side of good or evil. We’ll have to wait for the official premiere, but it may be interesting to see the actor (who played Harry Potter’s nemesis) let his good side shine through on camera.
Since his Harry Potter days, Felton has booked a couple of different roles. He, like his fellow alum from the massively popular franchise, maintained a spot in the public eye after the final Potter film debuted in 2011. However, The Flash arguably will be his biggest post-Potter gig to date.
I can’t wait to see what Felton has to bring to the table. Don’t forget to check out The Flash when it returns to the CW on October 4th.
