British actor Tom Hardy and Elton John were all smiles when they were recently photographed together. The pair posed together before production kicked off for the decorated musician’s biopic Rocketman, in which Hardy will be channeling the iconic musician. The pair posed for the photo at an American Film Market Presentation in Santa Monica, reports DigitalSpy.
Elton John will return to the studio to re-record his most iconic hits so that they fit the film’s emotional beats. He will also executive the Rocket Pictures project.
Director Michael Gracy will helm the film. Gacy’s credits include the upcoming The Greatest Showman on Earth starring Hugh Jackman, as well as Jim Henson biopic The Muppet Man.
The much-anticipated biopic is slated to start production Autumn 2014. Those who cannot wait that long to see Hardy on their screens can look forward to his upcoming films Animal Rescue, Mad Max: Fury Road and Child 44.
