Police have arrested a suspect for the disappearance of UVA student Hannah Graham. He was identified in the most recent video footage of the victim.

Police have apprehended a suspect allegedly involved in the disappearance of Hannah Graham, a student from the University of Virginia.

Charlottesville police obtained a felony warrant for Jesse Matthew, charging him with abduction with intent to defile, and arrested him on a beach yesterday in Galveston, Texas.

Matthew, a 32-year-old patient technician, is believed to be the last person to see her alive. He was shown on security footage walking with her around 1am on September 12th with his arm wrapped around her waist. He had bought her alcohol and they left the bar together.

Matthew was publicly identified as the man in the video, went to the police department to hire a lawyer, and then drove away.

Hannah Graham, however, has not been found yet. Police are encouraging Charlottesville locals to look in vacant buildings to see if she’s there.

Police are offering a $100,000 reward for Hannah’s whereabouts, and have received 1,500 tips about her case.

Matthew has been denied bond and will be extradited back to Virginia.
