Spoiler alert! The big bad hybrid is finally getting some action. The Tumblrs went wild and certain parts of the Twitterverse exploded this week when TVGuide revealed in a spoiler that the infamous Klaus Mikaelson of The Vampire Diaries would finally be getting all sexed up in an episode that’s set to air in March. Now, the speculations have started about who’s the very lucky lady in question.
For some fans, the answer is more than obvious. The pairing of Klaus and Caroline–or Klaroline as the shippers have named them–has one of the most ardent and vocal fans in the Vampire Diaries fandom, many times rivaling those of the show’s most popular pairing Damon and Elena. It’s not rare to find ‘Klaroline’ trending topics on Twitter almost on a weekly basis and sometimes more than once a week.
While nothing has been confirmed, it’s easy to figure out who Klaus has been hanging out with as of late in Mystic Falls just by taking a quick glance at the actor’s Twitter feed. Joseph Morgan has been very open about his support for the ‘Klaroline’ pairing, many times teasing fans about what he’s filming and who he’s filming with. Just a couple days ago, on February 11, he tweeted about “getting pretty physical on the set of The Vampire Diaries,” followed by a very cryptic tweet about having an argument with “you-know-who”–a pseudonym he’s used before to refer to Candice Accola’s character of Caroline. The fandom has since put on their Sherlock hats on and tried to decipher the meaning behind his words.
Luckily, there are always other people tweeting from set as well and it looks like we might have gotten our lucky break when Brandi Lindsey (@Brandi_Lindsey), a stand-in and photo double, tweeted that Joseph Morgan and Candice Accola had in fact been filming together that same day. So is Klaus finally making good on his word of taking Caroline up on her offer of ‘hot hybrid sex’?
Of course all of this is left for interpretation as no one has actually confirmed what the scenes they were filming were actually about. The news of the spoiler seems to come at a very opportune time, however, and Joseph Morgan keeps feeding the fandom morsels of hope for their favorite pairing. This morning he posted an adorable video of him giving English lessons to Candice Accola (http://telly.com/2NINPO), proving once again that the pairing is sharing more screen time. Perhaps a Klaus and Caroline sex scene isn’t that far-fetched after all.
Who do you think the Original hybrid will be shagging up with come March? My money is on the pretty little blonde that’s been rebuffing him for over a year now. It’s time his persistence finally pays off!
