Known as the Wasco clowns, some unidentified people have been dressing in clown costumes and prowling the streets in this California town.

Halloween has come a little earlier than anticipated for this town in California. For those afraid of clowns, you might want to avoid this story.

Since October 1st, residents of Wasco, CA, have been reporting sightings of “evil” clowns wandering the streets, scaring those of a nervous disposition and no doubt prompting those with a clown phobia to lock their doors at night.

The origin of the clowns is unknown, and no one knows their identity what they want, or where they come from.

It seems not everyone is scared, however. Some residents have been seeking out the clowns to take pictures with them, turning them into minor celebrities. In order to celebrate this new celebrity status, the ‘Wasco Clowns’, as they’re becoming known, even have their own instagram account that updates residents on their whereabouts so they can track them down.
