As of yesterday, X-Men: Days of Future Past has begun filming! To celebrate, director Bryan Singer tweeted a picture of Sir Patrick Stewart being photographed in costume. Interestingly, the costume seems to resemble that worn by his younger self in X-Men: First Class. Who else is thrilled to once again be seeing Stewart in character as Professor X for the first time in four years? We certainly are!

And he’s not the only X-Men alum Singer has tweeted a sneak peek of. Just today he shared a photo of Shawn Ashmore, aka Bobby Drake, aka Iceman! This one is possibly even more exciting to us X-Men fans – we haven’t seen him in all his mutant glory since 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand! Audiences can, however, see Ashmore on Fox’s The Following, in which he plays Mike Weston.

Not too much is known about the plot of X-Men: Days of Future Past, aside from its obvious inclusion of time travel. Can’t wait for more mutant action? Well, the good news is that The Wolverine comes out on July 26th of this year!
