Zooey Deschanel Gives Birth AND Ties The Knot In A Secret Ceremony

Zooey Deschanel, the 35-year-old star of New Girl, has not only just had a baby girl, but she has also secretly wed her boyfriend of a year, producer, Jacob Pechenik.

Her rep released a statement stating “I am thrilled to confirm that Zooey Deschanel and her husband Jacob Pechenik are new parents to a beautiful healthy baby girl.” This is the first child for the two. Deschanel was previously married to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard; their relationship ended in 2012.

The pair announced the pregnancy and engagement within two weeks of each other in January this year.  It is unconfirmed when and where the wedding took place, but it is believed that their daughter was born on Monday, the 3rd of August in Austin, Texas.
