The 40-year old psychiatric patient that has been stalking CNN’s Anderson Cooper for five years has been officially charged.
The convicted felon, Alex Hausner, appeared in court last night under accusations of unwelcome phone calls, trying multiple times to see Cooper, and a break-in to Cooper’s home last month.
Despite the fact that court papers have stated that there is security camera evidence of the attempted break-in along with audio of him yelling and threatening to “f—k you up,” Hausner was claiming that the allegations were untrue and fabricated by Cooper’s boyfriend, Benjamin Maisani.
While denying the allegations brought onto Hausner, he said “I can prove from my sources that his boyfriend has sent people after me. He’s a thug and a mongrel. They said I was not to be there — that’s not true.”
Maisani shares the apartment that Hausner tried to break into with Cooper and is also being treated as a victim in this case.
After being charged with a felony in first-degree menacing and misdemeanor harassment and stalking, there was also a $75,000 bail set for Hausner.
