People often expect showers in the spring time, and in Baltimore, there is no exception to that. Unfortunately the torrential rain and water was too much for one street to handle.
On Wednesday, April 30th, a retaining wall gave way in the Charles Village area in Baltimore, tossing vehicles over the side of the crumbling road like Matchbox cars. The most remarkable thing about this? It was all caught on video.
Inspectors are already researching the cause of the collapse and the Baltimore Sun is reporting that people could be out of their homes for as long as 40 days as the city tries to find out what went wrong. The city also is in talks to help residents with food and shelter while repairs to the street and wall take place.
About 20 people have had to leave their homes since the collapse occurred and crews are already leveling out the wreckage. No injuries have been reported.
