It looks like Better Call Saul is here to stay for a while. Many Breaking Bad fans got to know Heisenberg‘s lawyer Saul Goodman during BB, but get ready to see a lot more of Saul in his new series.
Better Call Saul has been picked up for Season 2 even before the debut of the first season. Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), Walter White’s shady lawyer, is bound to find himself in trouble as per normal. The first season is set to have 10 episodes, while Season 2 has been expanded to 13. Filming is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico and has already begun with some Breaking Bad alumni. Familiar faces include Vince Gilligan (Creator), Peter Gould (Saul’s creator) and of course Saul himself, Odenkirk.
Those who are anxious to watch the show are going to have to wait until 2015 to begin a new obsession as AMC has pushed back Better Call Saul’s premier date. AMC President Charlie Collier has this to say about the new series:
Production on Better Call Saul is underway and we could not be more proud of nor more excited about the work to date. We have a strong history with Vince, Peter, Bob, the studio, and so many involved with this production; we are enjoying the process on Saul and all share a focus on making it a true television event. No half measures.
Of course, what most are waiting to see if Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will make guest appearances on Better Call Saul, but only time will tell on that front! How excited are you to explore Saul Goodman’s world pre-Walter White? I know I’m pretty pumped to see what damage Goodman can do on people a little less diabolical than Walter.
