Danity Kane’s comeback as a trio is finally taking place with the release of the band’s third studio album, DK3. Ever since this new era began, the girls have taken the stage for their live comeback, performing their new track “All In A Day’s Work”, and also released a studio version of the song.
“All In A Day’s Work” became a fan-favorite tune from the very first moment Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres performed it live. A lot has happened since then, with Aundrea leaving the band and the other three cat-fighting their way to another disbanding. Thankfully, with the album actually seeing the light of day, Danity Kane fans got their favorite track as this week’s pre-order single.
The song is utterly fierce in the studio version as well, even though it doesn’t even come close to the way it sounded live. It’s still the rock-influenced banger everyone craved for, with the production here sounding a bit cheap and Aundrea’s absence being obvious in terms of vocals. Danity Kane still makes it look easy as far as the badass attitude goes, but for some reason it did not end up as instantly recognizable as the live version. If anything, it’s definitely not bad; it’s just not as good.
