There’s been a lot of speculation on the internet about an alleged collaboration between the likes of Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. It wasn’t without some teasing from both artists, but the fans sometime like to take things a bit far with assumed song titles and everything – “Freak Like Me” sounds familiar? As it seems, that duet is not really in the works.
Despite the matter being the talk of the town online for a while now, the two artists are nowhere near teaming up in the studio. Sure, they have worked together before on “Quicksand,” but an actual duet is nowhere near. As Lady Gaga recently revealed, the two have been in talks but they don’t quite have it yet.
With nothing in the works for the two acts, the “Bad Romance” songstress said it would be possible if they had the right song to collaborate on. She did not hesitate to further comment on the incident, bringing her new jazz style in the talk. “My direction is not the same. I think I’d rather duet with Elton John first” she said.
Sorry fans, but Britney Spears and Lady Gaga don’t seem to be joining forces anytime soon. There is no denying that it would all have made perfect sense a few years ago, but now that Britney Jean became Britney’s first flop album ever and ARTPOP didn’t do as well as expected either, the one doesn’t really have much to offer to the other. Here’s hoping better days are on the way for both of them and they do work together at some point!
