A leaked call sheet reveals the potential return of a popular character from American Horror Story: Asylum. Rumor has it that Pepper will be making her grand return on Freak Show. Pepper, played by Naomi Grossman, is set to make her reappearance in the first episode of the fourth season. Pepper’s return will not seem out of the ordinary because the character was inspired by the 1932 cult film Freaks as well as real life performer, Schlitzie. Fans are speculating that Freak Show will depict how Pepper ended up at Briarcliff, because the plot takes place well before Asylum’s 1964 storyline.

The call sheet also lists two new characters, Salty (played by Christopher Neiman) and Meep (played by Ben Woolf). In addition, the call sheet revealed other various guest stars as well as the character names for returning cast members. Kathy Bates will play Ethel Darling, who has a son Jimmy Darling (Evan Peters). Jessica Lange is set to play Elsa Mars, a German who is the headmaster of the carnival. Other celebrity guests include: John Carroll Lynch (The Americans) and Grace Gummer (Coven). Michael Chiklis is playing Wendell del Tolito, Emma Roberts will play Maggie, and Angela Bassett will play Desiree Dupre

The only other details known about Freak Show are that it takes place at one of the last freak carnivals in Florida in the 1950s. In addition, Sarah Paulson will be playing a two-headed woman whose names are Dot and Bette. Stay tuned for more coverage on AHS: Freak Show!
