Let The Arrows Fly: ‘Captain America 3’ May Include Hawkeye

With Black Widow stealing the show in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, fans get excited to hear Hawkeye might get his time to shine soon.

Earlier this month, Captain America: The Winter Soldier writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed that an early script of the smash hit movie included a cameo from another one of The Avengers: Hawkeye.

However, with the main focus of the sequel being on Steve Rogers, Nick Fury and Black Widow, Hawkeye was let go in order to keep the script up to par.

There’s good news for Marvel fans as there are now talks of having Hawkeye return to be in Captain America 3. In a recent interview Jeremy Renner said, “There are rumblings of Captain America 3. I don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’ve got to find the time, man (laughs). I’m trying to stay home and I can’t.”

It sounds like the writers want Renner involved with the next Captain America movie, but who knows whether he will find time or not. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!

Hawkeye will also be featured in next May’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, so at least we have that to look forward to so we can get our Jeremy Renner fix.

Captain America 3 has a scheduled May 26, 2016 release date.
