It is with great sadness that after 26 years of marriage Matt and Amy Roloff from TLC’s hit show Little People Big World, have decided to separate. The two exclusively released a statement to People, “Though we have weathered many storms together, we recently made the tough decision to engage in a trial separation, Matt remains living on the farm in our guest house and we work together everyday on the farm, on our business endeavors and most importantly, raising our amazing children.”
The couple are best known for their show Little People, Big World, which showcases the couple and their four children (Jeremy and Zach 23, Molly, 20, and Jacob, 17) on their Oregon farm. Matt and Amy Roloff, as well as one of the eldest twins, Zach, were all born with dwarfism and is regularly showcased on the series.
In recent months rumors have swirled around the couple and their marital issues, with today being the offical acknowledgement of the seperation. The problems began around Thanksgiving according to Matt, as can be seen in the TLC clip “Trial Separation”, with him living in the bridal house on the farm. Previous episodes in the current season have featured other tense moments at the household, with words being exchanged but a strong desire to make everything work out.
We wish the family and couple nothing but positive thoughts. Make sure you check out their new special airing on TLC. Featuring the family as they deal with the trials and tribulations.
