It looks like the New Year means a clean slate for Ricky Martin. The singer who came out in 2010 is officially heading into 2014 a single man.

Ricky had been in a relationship with financial analyst, Carlos Abella whom he met in 2008, however the stars publicist confirmed to El Nuevo Dia that the duo have “amicably ended their relationship” just a few days before Christmas.

In 2012, Ricky was singing a happier tune in an interview with The Advocate, “I think he’s [Abella] so sexy. He’s very smart. That is such a turn-on… He leaves the house every day in a suit and tie and that is so sexy.”

Martin has not commented on the breakup, however reports tell us that he and his twin boys are Down Under for his stint as a judge on The Voice Australia.
