BBC Radio 2 will receive a private visit from a very special guest on October 16: None other than Sir Paul McCartney himself.
That’s right, McCartney will perform an intimate concert at Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio 2. Jeff Smith, Head of Music, said: “Paul McCartney is a true music legend and we are extremely excited to have him as part of our In Concert lineup.”
The gig will take place at 1 PM, and it will be broadcast on radio at 8 PM that same day. It will also “be filmed and broadcast via BBC Red Button on Thursday, November 7”, according to Digital Spy.
“The Radio 2 audience are in for a real treat and I’m sure this will be a concert to remember!” says Smith, since the concert will also support McCartney’s latest album, New, which will be released 2 days prior to the event on October 14.
