It’s the end of the year and that means we’re concluding another great year of music. Another year of artists we’ve discovered that aren’t completely mainstream, yet they deserve the attention that we put into these mainstream artists.
PopWrapped’s end of the year list is in and we are so excited to let you know our 21 Artists to watch in 2021. Take a look!
Alex Angelo
Alex Angelo is a NEWLY Nashville based musician from Ohio who has put out some of his best music in 2020. With a new track every three weeks, Alex definitely didn’t let this year or this worldwide pandemic stop him from being productive and putting out tracks that his audience would enjoy.
Dylan Bernard
Dylan Bernard is an R&B recording artist and songwriter based out of Los Angeles, California. His music has been streamed/viewed over 12 million times cross all platforms and his songs Higher and It Ain’t Up To Me have gone on to receive international radio support from stations like Wave 89.1FM in the Philippines and MyxRadio on Dash Radio.
Lee Brown
British artist, Lee Brown has released a collection of epic tracks this year and rumor is, Lee has quite the amount of releases coming next year. Lee brings a unique voice, look, etc to the pop music world & we are hooked.
Gracie Carol
Country-pop artist Gracie Carol‘s year was filled with statement making success. Earlier this year, Gracie released her female-empowerment single titled 3 Minutes which debuted on Apple Country Hot Tracks. In addition to the release of her single, Gracie debuted the official music video 3 Minutes. Gracie’s past releases had landed her notable success with charting on iTunes and editorial playlist placement.
Curt Chambers
With the feel-good vibe from his music Curt Chambers proved that 2020 was his year. Earlier this year he released his catchy single Good Thing which defined his status in the country music industry. To end the year, Curt shared the truth of the world we live in with the release of Different Views.
Jack Conway
Jack Conway is a singer/song-writer from Indiana. Jack, now based in California, has released a collection of tracks this year amassing over over 30K streams – a great start for an independent artist, and only a fraction of what is to come for 2021.
Erin Coubrn
Erin Coburn is an artist who is unafraid to be authentically herself as a performer, which is clearly heard throughout her truthful lyrics. Their electric stage presence has led to Erin playing a variety of festivals & venues across the States, including Buddy Guy’s Legends, Summerfest, Blissfest, King Biscuit, Kalamazoo State Theatre and many more.
Lauren Davidson
Singer-songwriter Lauren Davidson blends the New York City vibes with the rich tones of contemporary country music, she has created a genre all her own, and audiences and critics just can’t get enough. She’s made countless show appearances with Old Dominion, LOCASH, and Carly Pearce. Never one forget her roots, in her home state Davidson has created Urban Country Jam, an event that puts rising country stars as openers to major acts. This past month, Lauren released her EP titled Love Ain’t Fair which included her past singles Compass, Halfway To Hungover, Find Me, and Going Nowhere.
Sad Heroes
Hailing from New York State, Sad Heroes is comprised of Avi Turner (Lead Vocals), SHMU Turner (Drummer), and Zach Szydlo (Everything Strings). If Pop Punk, Alternative, vibes are what you thrive off of, Sad Heroes are your guys!
Bryan Lanning
Bryan Lanning is a California based country singer/songwriter. After releasing an album this year and a collection of music video’s – Bryan is definitely an artist to watch in 2021. Additional to his career endeavors, Bryan and his family have a massive audience on their family youtube channel, Daily Bumps, where they vlog their lives with their family and two young children, Ollie and Finn.
Brady Lee
Brady Lee released his debut single I Can Do This All Day which debuted on Apple Country Hot Tracks and Apple Music Editorial Playlist New In Country. Taking inspiration from the likes of Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett, and Russel Dickerson, Brady’s sonic style is very much radio driven pop infused anthems that showcase his outstanding vocal and songwriting skills. Recently, Brady signed an exclusive artist development deal with Perkins Publicity which was announced by All Access and Music Row.
MANNIS
Inspired by the likes of Blackbear and Christian French, MANNIS is a Self-produced pop artist. you can feel the smooth fusion between hip-hop, pop, and R&B with Mannis’ latest two singles. Focused around love and navigating finding it in the 21st century.
Dalton Mauldin
With influences such as LANY, Jeremy Zucker, and Corey Harper, Dalton’s sound is a great blend of ambient indie pop. Although this is just the beginning, Dalton has high aspirations for his career. He is determined to break boundaries utilizing his heartfelt melodies and honest lyrics. Dalton is an undeniable force in the music industry.
Fly By Midnight
Fly By Midnight, consisting of Justin Bryte and Slavo has had quite an impressive year. With collaborations with Shoffy, Jake Miller, and even putting out an album, this New York duo who is now LA based is no doubt, a force to be reckoned with. Adding to their really successful year, this super talented duo just signed with Prescription Songs ahead of their 2021 releases.
Ethan Payne
Idol alum, Ethan Payne‘s belief in “living life to the fullest” is best amplified by his honest storytelling-style of country music. Since appearing on the 17th season of American Idol where he reunited with Luke Bryan, Ethan released his most heartfelt release Luke’s Guitar honoring a special night with Bryan himself. Recently, Ethan won his fourth award for Georgia Country Teen Artist of the Year at the Georgia Country Music Awards.
Jonah Prill
Country artist Jonah Prill music style is compared to the likes of HARDY, Morgan Wallen, Chris Lane, Rodney Atkins, and Riley Green while making sure to always put his own country twist on his output. Already a well-known name across social media, Jonah Prill boasts an impressive following across Instagram with 109k followers and 696.1k across TikTok platform. Jonah’s debut single Friday Night has gained over 288k streams since release in September 2020.
Abby Reign
Singer-songwriter Abby Reign showcased her talents throughout the year and proved her status in the industry. With her first single Louder, Abby bursted into the pop-country market with her bright personality. Abby’s musical influences include Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Paramore, and Carrie Underwood. With the guitar beating as a heart and Reign’s vocals cutting through the suspended synth, Abby’s recent single release Roll The Dice is the perfect message from her lyrics are loud and clear to the listener.
TYPIFŸ
Brooklyn, New York based frequency scientist, TYPIFŸ, bridges the gap between multiple genres, captivating you with his emotionally resonant stories. On his self-titled debut album, you’ll find songs of universal relatability painted in uplifting color. Songwriter and producer Patrick Dunn (TYPIFŸ) strives for his compositions to deliver stand-out melodies that leave you humming them weeks later, serving as the foundation for his soul-telling lyrics
VICU
After the success of his breakout EP, Complementary, the self-taught producer and songwriter VICU created his modern pop sound and distinguished his fanbase with his music releases. One of the top up-and-coming producers in the music industry, VICU has been alongside other artists such as G-Eazy and Jason Derulo. Recently, VICU’s worked with his production partner and engineer Matt Viers on Rihanna‘s upcoming album.
The Highway Women
The Highway Women are an all female country blend of country, rock, and pop. In June 2020, Highway Women announced their joint program Be A Highway Woman exclusively via Forbes. Recently, they released their debut EP titled The Highway which featured past releases Shake The Dust, Stand Up and Fight, The Devil, and God Made Me Right. With their music, The Highway Women, showcase their talent and never fail to wow audiences and leave them wanting more.
