4 Branded Products You Should Offer if You Run a Fitness Brand

When it comes to marketing, appearance is everything — the more legitimate your business looks, the more seriously people will take it.

When it comes to marketing, appearance is everything — the more legitimate your business looks, the more seriously people will take it. Many great companies have floundered because they couldn’t put together a professional look. If you either run a fitness brand or are considering starting one, it’s important that people know you’re the real deal, and unfortunately, that means more than having really great credentials. The effort that you put into quality products will be well worth the investment. Here are four branded products you should consider offering to improve the legitimacy of your company.

1. Supplements

Nothing says a fitness brand knows what it’s doing more than its own line of custom protein powders — this will let customers know you’ve done your research and can be a trusted source for their health goals. Many companies don’t think to make private label supplements, and it’s not as difficult to do as it may sound.

Most people will discuss their various supplements with friends, so imagine the reach your company will have if you’ve got a great supplement to offer — one that people can’t get anywhere else. Do any of your competitors offer their own line of customized supplements? If so, you definitely need to do the same. If your competitors don’t, you should beat them to the punch. Having products like this will set you apart from the competition.

2. Water Bottles

Everyone needs water, but athletes tend to really appreciate how important water really is. Water bottles with your company logo on them are easy to produce, and they’re great advertising. For this product, make sure you go high-quality — don’t just get the cheap plastic ones. When getting yours made, think of it this way — is it a water bottle you’d pay a little extra for if you were the customer?

Many athletes have a particular water bottle that they love and take with them everywhere. If you can provide a really great water bottle, think of how much advertising you’ll get out of that as the customer take their bottle on the bus, to work and to sporting events. It’d be hard to spend better advertising dollars. Your goal should be to offer a water bottle that people would want even if they haven’t ever heard of your business.

3. Exercise Clothes

Similar to the water bottle, this would double as great advertising, because chances are, people are going to wear this gear at places and events where they’ll be around other fitness-minded people. Remember — exposure is the name of the game when it comes to marketing, so the more opportunities you can create for potential customers to see your name, the better.

The possibilities are endless for this one — think shirts, sweaters, windbreakers, shorts and hats. You could even go so far as running gloves. Make sure you don’t skimp on quality, because a poor-fitting product will reflect poorly on your entire brand. For all products you sell, make sure it’s obvious that you’ve done your research in order to procure the best.

4. Fitness Gear

When people are thinking of health and wellness, you want them to think of you. To assist with this, you can sell miscellaneous fitness products such as massage balls and rollers. Gym bags and yoga straps are other great options.

Think of it this way — maybe aside from your shoes, what products help you stay in shape? Write them all down, then try to get your logo on all of them.

The more professional your brand looks, the more likely it is that people will want to check it out. You could be the best trainer or gym in town, but if you don’t appear professional, you’re going to struggle. By providing quality products, you’ll not only boost your brand’s public image, but you’ll improve your marketing reach.
