If you are an X-Men fan, then director Brian Singer shared some casting news via Twitter this weekend that is sure to get you excited! He tweeted the following concerning the new X-Men: Days of Future Past film, “@BrianSinger: Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage & @shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysofFuturePast – thank you @BrettRatner for letting them live!”
So there you have it! Anna Paquin (Marie/Rogue), Shawn Ashmore (Bobby Drake/Iceman) and Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat) are back for the next X-Men film.
Days of Future Past is one of the most popular stories in all the Marvel universe, not just in the X-Men world. It was voted the 25th best Marvel comic of all time by fans in 2001. As the title might indicate, time travel is involved. For us as fans, that means we get the best of both worlds as the X-Men: Origins and original X-Men casts team up for what should be an epic mutant movie experience.
