After Smallville ended its historic 10 season run on the WB/CW back in 2011, Tom Welling aka Clark Kent/Superman as been MIA from our screens big and small.
Well now news comes from Deadline that Welling has emerged from hibernation with a role in Parkland, a feature that is being directed by Peter Landesman (his directorial-debut according to IMDB). He joins Paul Giamatti, Zac Efron, and Billy Bob Thornton in the ensemble drama about the hours following the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Parkland Hospital. Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are producing with Bill Paxton.
The release of the film is expected to coincide with the 50th anniversary of JFK’s death, which is November 22, 1963.
