Looks like Ducan Jones (son of David Bowie) is headed to direct a big budget film, signing on to do “World Of Warcraft”, a live-action adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s video game universe. Thomas Tull & Jon Jashni will be producing for Legendary Pictures along with Blizzard and Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven & Alex Gartner.
This movie plans to be part science fiction, part fantasy. We will see elements such as dragons, orcs, etc. Legendary Pictures has the script kept very well under wraps for the time being. W.O.W is a huge jump in terms of scope and scale for director Ducan Jones, the filmmaker son of David Bowie, who is know for his science fiction work.
Film production should begin sometime this March.
