Deadline has reported HBO has signed an overall deal with George R.R. Martin, the author of the Song of Ice and Fire series.
The contract is for 2 years, in which he will not only continue being a co-executive producer on Game of Thrones, but he will also be developing a brand new series for HBO.
Not much else is known about the new series he is to be creating, but we’re sure that everyone (including HBO) is hoping for something as big and successful as Game of Thrones, which comes back with season three on March 31.
