As Catching Fire will see to its final days of filming in Hawaii after the Oscars on February 24th, the script for the second part of Mockingjay, the third novel in Suzanne Collins bestselling trilogy is set to begin.
Danny Strong, an award winning writer for HBO’s Game Change, has already finished the adaptation for the first part of the film, and after getting the ‘okay’ from Lionsgate he is able to start with part two.
The film is following the trend that was started with the final Potter flick by releasing two movies for one book in order for minimal cuts from the story.
Francis Lawrence, who is also the director for Catching Fire, has been signed to direct the last two movies as well.
