Bonnie Franklin, one of the stars of the long-running sitcom, “One Day at a Time”, has passed away after long battle with pancreatic cancer, according to a family member. Franklin played a divorced mom on the sitcom.

Her family had previously announced that the actress had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in September of 2012.

Franklin had many stage and TV credits to her name but the sitcom is what really made her stand out and made her a star back in 1975 when it premiered. Along with her role, the sitcom cast Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips as her two teenage daughters. The sitcom ran for nine seasons on CBS and spent much of its run as a Top 20 TV hit.

Up until her death, Franklin’s recent credits included stints on “The Young and The Restless” and “Hot in Cleveland”, the latter of which reunited her with Bertinelli. Franklin was 69.

PopWrapped would like to express its condolences to the Franklin family and our thoughts are with them.
