Keri Russell is seriously trying to take over the world or maybe just Hollywood. The ex-Felicity is all over the map these days. She is starring in the box-office thriller Dark Skies and is the leading lady on the new FX hit The Americans. Now, she has landed another amazing gig as the female lead in the upcoming reboot, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
It has not been confirmed by the studio just yet but the news was posted on the movie’s official Facebook page. It is very likely that an announcement is coming soon. Variety is reporting that Russell will be starring opposite master CGI actor Andy Serkis in the sequel.
Details regarding Russell’s role and character are scarce but to Felicity fans, this will be a reunion of sorts to them as Matt Reeves, the co-creator of Felicity, is set to direct the sequel. The film is set to hit theaters May 23, 2014, with production starting shortly. Along with Russell and Serkis, Gary Oldman and Jason Clarke have both been added to the cast.
